In the spring of 2004 Delta Air Lines painted 767-232 N102DA in a special retro scheme to commemorate their 75th anniversary. The scheme pays tribute to the scheme Delta used on their DC-3s and DC-4s, albeit with a gray painted fuselage as opposed to the natural metal fuselage. Ship 102 was originally delivered as the Spirit of Delta which was purchased from Boeing by the employees of Delta Air Lines. This scheme was seen on ship 102 until she was repainted back into the classic widget scheme prior to her retirement in 2006.
