Founded in 1985, Dragonair (then Hong Kong Dragon Airlines), was a small airline based in Hong Kong. Originally operating Boeing 737s, the airline later acquired Lockheed L1011 Tristars from Cathay Pacific when that airline took on a financial stake in the airline. Airbus A320s were added in 1993, followed by Airbus A330-300s in 1995.
